A Clemson Tiger's Journey Takes a Turn: Where Will He Run Now?
Former Clemson running back Keith Adams Jr., a player with a legacy to uphold, has made a significant decision. He's found a new home, committing to Georgia State University.
During the recent season, Adams saw action in 11 games. He showcased his skills, rushing for a total of 71 yards and scoring one touchdown from 14 carries.
But here's where it gets interesting. Adams, the son of former Clemson linebacker Keith Adams, made headlines when he announced his intention to transfer, using social media to express his feelings about the Clemson coaching staff. He wrote, "I was not used the right way at my previous school and have proven multiple times that I am worthy to play." He also boldly stated, "I have 1 more year of eligibility and I plan on making a huge impact on wherever I go. I guarantee I’ll be the hardest running back to tackle in college football."
Later, Adams offered some clarification on his initial remarks. He clarified, "I am not blaming anyone at all. I feel like it is right for me to stand up for myself and not be silent." He added, "I lead a game in rushing playing less than 5 minutes. I didn’t ask to start, I just wanted to play more. I didn’t get that."
Looking back at his career before the 2025 season, Adams had 44 career carries, accumulating 203 yards and a touchdown. He also had 1 reception for 4 yards, appearing in 21 games over the 2022-24 seasons, totaling 138 snaps.
